Brooks Tavern in Hendersonville

First time there and went to Brooks tavern for lunch and the place was clean, great food and friendly employees. Would recommend this this if you ever go to Hendersonville NC.

Great Sunday brunch! Specials on mimosas and bloody Mary's. Delicious eggs benedict with your choice of bacon or ham on brioche buns and home fries. They also have brioche stuffed French toast with bacon, omelettes and other tasty dishes. The regular menu looks good too, featuring burgers and fish and chips. Lots of craft and local beers on tap, with drink and food specials every day. Will definitely be back!

We stopped here after a day of hiking Dupont State. The bartender was awesome! He greeted everyone kindly with a smile and sincerity. We started with the Giggle Juice (a fancy long island) and a black and tan. The Southern Fried Chicken sandwich is huge and delicious! We also had a burger that was yummy. A+ for all of it; food, service, and ambience.

This place is truly a GEM!! I was thoroughly impressed how amazing the food was!! LIKE REALLY REALLY GOOD!!! Make sure you try the beer pretzels! It’s on the other side of the Hendersonville strip shops & bars. So it’s a little hidden. The ambiance is great & so is the service. They have a full bar & well as local beers on tap. My tab was: mixed drink, 2 beers, 6 wings, beer pretzels & 2 burgers with extra options added came up $65. For the quality of the food it’s was surprisingly cheap.

A few weeks ago I tired Brooks for the first time. It was a rare date night and there was not a single thing disappointing about the entire experience. I was born into the food industry and my family is full of amazing cooks/bakers/chefs, that being said, I have a great appreciation for all the hard work that goes into every aspect of a dining experience. I have, in recent years, found dining out to be increasingly anticlimactic. Something or another always falls short but not Brooks and not Ian (I really hope I got that name right) What an incredible human and bartender. Attentive and accommodating without hovering or interrupting, friendly, happy and dedicated to his work. The food was unique and incredible, ALL of it and I tried quite a lot! Thank you so much for a truly lovely evening. I wish you all great success and hope to see you for many years to come.

Stumbled upon this awesome place while traveling. So glad we found it! The BLT was awesome and so was the mushroom burger. The giggle water was right on par with the meal. The music was an added bonus. They had something for everyone - I don’t care who are! Worth a trip!

This tavern opened up not too long ago. I've been there a few times and always enjoyed my time there. It's nicely located in downtown and you can always follow the music to find it. Good beers and they also serve hard liquor. Comfortable seating weather you choose the bar or the tables.

Coolest spot in town to enjoy a drink. The wings burned me to a smoldering crisp!

Very cool little place, very good beer selection not so much in quantity but in quality. Also the food was very good, will be back.

Went to have dinner here last night after closing our shop. Food was wonderful, good beers and it was awsome to see the smiling faces of the wait staff!! We had a great experience and by the looks of it so did everyone else in there too!! We will definitely be back!!!

Lovely historic building, thoughtfully modernized. Great service (our waitress was fantastic and the manager came by to check on us, too). One of the best burgers I've ever eaten, and we will definitely be gong back.Parking was easy, got a spot on the street almost right in front.Like many of the restaurants around Asheville, the bathrooms are not gender-specific, which I like (no waiting in line for ladies room while men's room grows dusty ;)

Amazing food and even better service!

First time visitor, and I am planning a return visit. Excellent Monte Cristo and Fish 'n Chips. Small and quaint atmosphere. Barkeep was personable and outstanding.

All I'm saying is...their turkey, apple and brie sandwich is heaven sent!! The fries and the caramel sauce paired so well with it too! I don't live close so I must try to recreate this meal the best way I know how lol #itsTHATgood

Best Sirloin in town. Sauteed in herb butter will melt in your mouth ,no need for steak sauce and with creamy mashed potatoes and seasoned green beans. I'll be back again. Paired with great ale and service , you won't be Disappointed.

Great pub fare and service! My girlfriend and I stopped here for an early dinner on a weekend getaway, and it was everything we hoped for. Also FYI, seemingly normal service during COVID. Will definitely be back!

This place was magnificent. The owner even took the time out to check on our table. The waiter was great. He made sure we always had what we needed. The atmosphere was wonderful. But let's talk about the food. It's almost like Gourmet bar food. I went with myself and three kids. We all had something different and everything tastes so good. The photos online we're identical in real life. Everything looked delicious and was delicious. I can't wait to go there again. If you're looking for a good spot to eat downtown Hendersonville this is it!

If you've been yearning for a place to grab a cold one where everyone knows your name...this is it! A small tavern with great pub atmosphere; both staff and the patrons are friendly. You'll be treated to awesome, inventive food (a pint of candied bacon for your appetizer, anyone?) local beers, wine and "giggle water". Popular with the locals and a must-visit for travelers. Highly recommend!

Had the fish and chips with a ninja porter. Absolutely fantastic!The service was the best we've had in a very long time. I highly recommend this place if you want great local beers, superb food and over-the-top service. The atmosphere is very much upscale pub-style and I think it adds to the whole experience in a super-positive way.

Awesomeness. The Fried Chicken Sandwich was to die for! My buddy suggested that I get it with sweet chili sauce on it (one of their wing sauce flavors). *It was probably the best chicken sandwich that I have ever had. The hand-cut fries were tasty as well.Outstanding food and service. Nice atmosphere and vibe.Without a doubt, I will be back soon!

This is a great place to have a quick drink, a long conversation with locals at the bar, or a wonderful dinner. The food here is excellent! Calling it "tavern" food is an understatement. The freshly made french fries are done right, the Buffalo chicken egg rolls are amazingly delicious, and the turkey-apple-brie sandwich is definitely something I'd get again.And they have Guinness on tap! Plus they have several local brews, too. Will definitely stop here again if we pass through. It was delicious, and was a good experience for the kids, too!

last night was our first time in this excellent restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the good service, with the great cooking and booze and with the modest cost. We will absolutely visit there soon.

We tried our usual dining places but ended up at Brooks for our first time. What a nice place! We both had burgers which were excellent. The beer selection wasn't huge, but the two IPAs were great. Sorry we hadn't tried it earlier, glad we were pushed this way with so many other places closed.Thanks for great service, friendly folks and good food and beer!

New to the area and wanted some alone time to take it in .... Was headed back to car toward a inn to dine the seen the lovely place i soon was to fall in love with little did I know .... With the name and around 3 words giggle water being what caught my eye .....all I'm say is it is not a false advertisment . but you must ask them where it cones from thats the best part . and what makes you fall head over hills for this place on a little side street and down a little hill

They have the absolute best Monti Cristo sandwich. The atmosphere is great. It is more than just a tavern. Great food and good drinks.

Some friend introduced us to this gem of a place one Sunday afternoon. I loved it! I ordered the patty melt and it was very tasty. I also ordered fried mushrooms….YUM! My friends ordered the fried fish and chips and they were some of the best I've ever had. We got the .25 cup of soup with our meal and it was delish! The shrimp is large and perfectly cooked. The onion rings are awesome. Seriously loved this place! The owner was there helping get our large order out in a timely fashion and was helping refill our drinks when needed. He was very friendly and welcoming! This will be a regular spot for us.

Our server Cohen was friendly and attentive.the food was awesome and more than just the run-of-the-mill tavern food. We had the jalapeno poppers which had chicken in the middle of them. My husband had the candied bacon BLT and it was a three layer sandwich. I had the small size fish and chips which was delicious and cooked perfectly. This place knows how to cook french fries thin and crispy

This place reminds me of a so-called "attractive female who knows it." The food was good. Ordered the fish N chips ...comes with fries... nice, light thin crispy texture of tempura style. When you walk in the male bartender yelled out, " kitchen closes in 10 minutes." Website said they closed at 10. He's not wearing a mask. Two signs say, "Be nice or leave." Waitress, also not wearing mask, is pretty fast and all business. If it weren't for the sign on the door indicating to wear mask and wash hands, I'd think this place has zero regard for the pandemic. But overall a good experience.

Normally one of our favorite places in Hendersonville to have a meal and drink but disappointed with this visit. Dark hair in my to go sandwich. It was right on top when I opened the box. Yuck!

Excellent food. I have almost every thing on the menu and it has been super good every time. The shrimp is the best in Hendersonville hands down. The service is great and the Bartender/waitress Panda is awesome.

What a great find! Tucked away on one of the side streets off of Main in Hendersonville is this quaint little place with great people, great food, and great atmosphere. We had a burger, and the Monte Cristo, and both were crazy good. Lots of local beers on tap, as well as a compliment of bottled beers. Plenty of nearby parking. Highly recommend.

I loved Brooks Tavern! Not a great spirits selection behind the bar yet you can tell they are focused on great food! I'll recommend this place and definitely be back!

Absolutely the best Pub or Tavern in Henderson County. Amazing & unique pub food, fairly priced, weekly specials and an atmosphere that transports you back to the 1800s. Owners are warm & friendly and service is spot on too!
